Big week for me as I have successfullhy completed A SOCK!!!!
I refer to it as the pink sock of doom!! I used regular lily sugar and cream cotton so that I could practice before I go to the teeny tiny sock yarn ad needles.
Of course as so many noted, sock off doom needs a mate.
I shall get that... eventually. At the moment, have cast on regular sock. oooooooooh.

also, started a hat.
One of my best friends mother was diagnosed with breast cancer so I am making her a hat for the chemo.

ALMOSt done with all the sewing projects I had started before I went in the hospital. I will be so gald to have that monkee off of my back.

camp memories and KIT!!

Looking at the camp dates, it's hard to believe that it's nearing and end! When it first strated, it seemed like it would be a while before it ended. Now the owls are flying back and forth all over the world, delivering the goods. I have had a great time and will undoubtedly participate again!

This weekend and owl arrived on my doorstep with my kit from loverofallemo! As I am a defender against the dark arts, she sent me a kit to aid in that quest.

First is a pic of the kit as a whole. The patterns are the HOrcux sock pattern with green and purple yarn and the other is the Fawkes pattern with orangy phoenix yarn. There is also my very favorite thing coffee, sugar free dark chocolate (my very favorite), a camp teheme scrap book kit which was an awesome idea and she made me an Ashwinder for my Ashwinder cabin!! THe piece of paper is a delcaration for using DADA propely!

Finally Friday!! Sheesh this week has gone on forever long!!
HOpefully by this afternoon, my newly ordered converse in turquise and purple will have been delivered. I expect them to look awesome with my robes as my pink ones do.

I"m looking forward to a weekend of crafting! I would like to make good headay on the never ending afghan of doom. I'd also like to do some stencling and maybe some sewing.

I haven't cut myself yet doing stencils but watch it happen now that i'm loaded up on warfarrin.

I've been working on a blanket for my Mister and i'm ready to get it finished but it is slow going. I'm ready to finish it and move on to other things... like Christmsa presents. Hopefully this weekend I can make some good headway on it.

Saturday Saturday!!!

Ended up choosing the time it poured to get out and run errands. It was great as I love the rain.
Got my hairs did.
Just needed a trim but she ended up cutting more than that off.
I actually like it. It's just a wee bit different and getting it trimmed at all means my curls are bouncy again. This makes extremely happy.

Went back to worko n Wednesday. I am glad I decided to make it a short week. It wore me out as it was. To make matters worse, my computer failed to work. HOpefully MOnday, it will work again. I'm about to throw it out of the window!!
stupid muggle equipment grumblegrumble.

Having finsihed many projects recently, I decided to take out an old one.
I had started a shell sttch blanket for my husband in his Buffalo Bill colors.
Maybe 'll get it finished by his birthday in september. hooray!

Madame Warbobbles carries around Draught of Peace which could be cleverly disguised in pill form or to state off other anxieties... COFFEE which holds off all madness!!

A Mandrake restorative draught is used when one is (dramatic Dumbledore pause) Petrified.

I believe that this too takes the form of coffee so that one is not petfiried with sleepiness!

My cat is thrilled and she's hanging out with me on the couch, staring down the chocolate lab.

and I think my owl Firth has strayed. *sigh* since his services weren't needed I think he might have found some ladies to woo. I apologize if your owl is one such lady...

Watching Chess in Concert for like the zillionth time. I need to get the DVD and find some way to put it on my ZUne so I can watch it a Zillion more times while at work.

Working on finishing up some itesm. My gyrfindor gym bag is finished. yaay!! Now I suppose I need to go back to the gym. Would love to do something hard core but stil have to take it easy with my messed up back. ugh.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll finish my "Defy Gravity" and "Popular" bags tommorrow. Going to see Wicked next Saturday (again) with my BFF. I'm Defy Gravity and she's Popular. Would ike to get tiara's in but i'm not sure that I'l have the time. Making friend's mother a Wicked dishcloth.

She has the cutest stocking hat on her Ravelry page. It’s in green and purple which is one of my favorite color combinations (red and black being the other). I love the hat… it’s very light hearted. Something fun to wear in the cold of winter while everyone else is wearing same ole hats.

I've spent the last few days at the beach and am now home. (sadness)
I'm trying to get caught up with everything I need to do online as well as everything I need to do at home. Suitcase is unpacked. LAundry is running. I still need to unpack the craft bag I took and organize that and then get ready to go back to work tomorrow. Alas. (the darkarts do not sleep for vacationiong aurors i'm afraid)

I am Piper Poplartree.

When I'm not defending the world against Dark Arts, I can be found crafting or at my favorite coffee shop, Starknuts. My muggle sewing maching had me baffled this weekend and I resisted the urge to blast it with a shattering spell. It would have felt good to do so but in the end, it would not have accomplished my goal of creating a new skirt.

Also watched some baseball.
